hypothyroidism in babies born 1986
my family attended the outdoor car boot sale at devils bridge on May day - Bank Hliday monday 1986. I was 18 wks pregnant at the time . There was a heavy cloudburst on what was a gloriosly hot day. We were all soaked through to the skin. Thought nothing of drying off as it was so warm and dry a few minutes later.
My baby was born in October that year - suffering from CONGENITAL HYPOTHYROIDISM.
T he Government warning to pregnant women to stay out of the rain was only released the following weekend.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone in a similar situation
